Where can I park my car?

We encourage our guests to walk, bike, carpool or take public transportation whenever possible. Most of the street parking located around 18 Reasons is limited to 2 hours, Monday through Friday, until 9:00pm. Just one block away, around Dolores Park, some streets have unlimited parking all week long (except when noted for street cleaning). The closest parking garages are Hoff St. Garage (at 16th St.) and Bartlett Garage (at 21st St.).

 

What is the nearest BART station to 18 Reasons? 

The nearest BART station to 18 Reasons is the 16th & Mission station. From the station, walk west on 16th St., turn left on Guerrero St. and walk south two blocks to 18th St. Turn right on 18th St.; you’ll see 18 Reasons about two thirds of the way down the block on the right (north) side, next door to the Bi-Rite Creamery (and many very happy, salted-caramel smiles).

 

What are the closest MUNI lines to 18 Reasons?

The following MUNI lines are within a few blocks of our location: 14, 22, 24, 33, 47, 49, and J.

What is your refund policy?

We require at least 7 calendar days' notice for all cancellations and refunds/class credit requests. You must contact us to request a refund between the hours of 9AM-5PM (Monday-Friday) by emailing us at info@18reasons.org. If you cancel fewer than 7 calendar days before your event, we will not offer a refund or credit; however, tickets are transferable and you are welcome to send someone else in your place. Please note that 3% of your ticket cost is a payment processing fee, which is non-refundable.

 

How can I join the waitlist for a sold-out class?

We keep an informal wait list that notifies you by email if a ticket is available on our website. If the event you like is sold out, send us an email to let us know. We'll email you if a ticket(s) is available to purchase on our website; we do not reserve tickets for people who ask to be on our waitlist.

 

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions/allergies?

Please contact us about any dietary restrictions or allergies at info@18reasons.org when you buy your tickets, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please notify us in advance regarding restrictions or allergies; the earlier you let us know, the better! Be aware that we use a shared kitchen, and that allergens could have come into contact with any of our pans or utensils. If you have a severe allergy, take any precautions you would normally take when going out to eat in a shared use restaurant kitchen, for example.

 

Can I bring my child to an 18th St. class or event with me?

We welcome youth to attend our 18th St. classes and events. Our youth policy is that students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who can be fully responsible for their behavior and their safety. So, if you’d like to take a class with your child, just buy a ticket for the child and a ticket for the accompanying adult to the class of your choice. Please email info@18reasons.org to let us know if you sign up for a class with your child, so that we can let your teacher know to expect a younger student. Please note that this youth policy does not apply to our tasting seminars (i.e. wine tasting classes), where all students must be at least 21 years old. It also does not apply to our programs designed specifically for youth, like our Teen Culinary Immersion series; youth may attend such programs on their own without an adult.
